• Bluetooth pairing MK02

From Jan K.@21:1/5 to All on Mon Jul 15 03:34:14 2024
I bought two Bluetooth Stereo Car Speakerphones by Lavales. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZCRWPM4

I was surprised they both have the same MK02 Bluetooth ID.

When I try to connect with the Android phone, MK02 shows up twice.
Only by trial and error can I tell which MK02 I'm connected to.

How does the phone distinguish between any one MK02 and any other?
And how can I get Android to tell me which one it's connecting to?

All bluetooth devices have a unique MAC address (similar to network cards

After pairing, you should be able to rename the device

    Settings
    Connected Devices
click the gear cog of the first MK02
    click the pencil icon
    enter new name (e.g front/rear/left/right)
    click rename

An iPhone would tell you clearly what is going on, Arlen.

Thank you. From that information, I found in Developer options there's a setting to "Show Bluetooth devices without names" which shows MAC addresses
but not for devices that have names such as these MKO2 device names.

    That worked beautifully.
    Thanks for the advice.

It even worked when I wasn't connected.
It only needed to have been connected & saved prior.
