In the curl statement I use the formatted_body var and put the text inside a <pre></pre> tag

    curl 'https://matrix.erb.pw/_matrix/client/r0/rooms/!'$ROOMID'/send/m.room.message/'$TXNID'?access_token='$MATRIXTOKEN \
    -s -X PUT \
    --data "{\"msgtype\": \"m.text\", \
    \"format\": \"org.matrix.custom.html\", \
    \"body\": \"$MESSAGE\", \
    \"formatted_body\": \"$TITLE<br /><pre>$ANSI</pre>\"}"

The variables $TITLE and $ANSI are set as username/node/bbsname (TITLE) and the $ANSI is the text inside the codeblock.

    Hope that helps =)

    Howdy,

In the curl statement I use the formatted_body var and put the text inside a <pre></pre> tag

That's got it, I was missing the format: org.matrix.custom.html.

This should now be posted mono-spaced :)

Yeah, I'll work on that as well, that should be an easy change - I'd even try and change it to real colors - but I dont think you can have html (driving the colors) inside a <pre> code block.
