Yes, it's great for post processing. I've really cleaned up interview audio. I have a system that allows me to use the stereo tracks more like 2 channels of a multitrack mixer. After recording, I then separate the channels, balance out the levels, independently process out the noise floor and make other tweaks, and finally, merge them into a mono audio stream for broadcast. I use Voicemeeter Banana for the audio routing on the PC, it's a powerful software mixer that leaves the Windows mixer for dead, and a softphone running off my VoIP switch here to conduct the interview.
The whole system was thrown together when the system at the studio of the community FM station I'm a member of went down on a week we had an interview scheduled, with a repair time of weeks (by which time, it would be too late to do the interview).
